We Now Interrupt

“The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible” -Toni Cade Bambara On a humid night in March in Playa del Carmen, we decided to improvise in the moon light’s sea breeze. The ensuing choreography, editing, creation, lends itself to our love of the bizarre, the obscure, the different. We love October and all it represents. But we are also in conversations about how not to feed the continuous overconsumption it has become, like so many things, and the ecological impact of the devastating waste it perpetuates. How do we hold ourselves and accountable? How do we pause and find mindful ways to be with the spirits of Hallow’s Eve and Dia de los Muertos? And as always, lending our dancing bones to make art, is a way for us to explore our endless doubts and questions. And hopefully, to take another step towards the irresistible revolution.
