This film serves as a time capsule for a movement meant to be performed live, with a large cast, and on stage. When shot at Fort Tilden on a calm autumn day in 2020, we were still adjusting to a new reality, and it seems like we have been adapting ever since. This adaption of a work that was exploring all sorts of nostalgia, love triangles, trance dance as revolution, and friendships still to be born. Allison and I got to revisit choreo that seemed to have been forcibly taken away from our bodies and make it into something completely new. With this process, it turned into something that echoes hope. We are grateful we got to make time to remember and honor what we lost and have something to look back on.
